Description
Santorini is a highly accessible, pure-strategy game, where you play as a youthful Greek God or Goddess competing to best aid the citizens in building a beautiful village in the middle of the Aegean Sea.
Simple enough for a primary school classroom while aiming to provide gameplay depth and content for hardcore gamers to explore, the rules are simple. Each turn consists of 2 steps:
1. Move – move one of your builders into a neighboring space. You may move your Builder Pawn on the same level, step-up one level, or step down any number of levels.
2. Build – Then construct a building level adjacent to the builder you moved. When building on top of the third level, place a dome instead, removing that space from play.
You win the game if either of your builders reaches the third level..
Santorini also features variable player powers layered over an otherwise abstract game, with 40 thematic god and hero powers that fundamentally change the way the game is played. Santorini is a truly elegant and visually beautiful table top game experience.

This game is addictive, between the willing to win and the smooth running of the strategy. I highly recommend this game which is accessible to all!

I’m not usually into abstract or 2p games, but this is just superb. And the board presence is impressive.
Really great game that you can get to the table in seconds.

Great game for 2 to 3 players competitive or a 4 player team game (2 players per team). Different player strategies really make it difficult to plan too far ahead, add in the god-powers and things really get mindblown.
The game is really easy to learn and provides a lot of replayability with different powers.

Santorini is an aesthetically pleasing game, especially with the beautiful artwork on the cards. It plays well with 2 players and the big variety of differently powered god cards ensures that each game will play different from the previous ones.
