BrainBox My First Maths is a visual perception game designed for parents and teachers to play with younger children. This BrainBox will help improve visual perception, observation and memory skills as well as reinforce early maths concepts. Each of the cards features an important maths topic covered in the early years of school. For example, numbers up to 20, shapes, time, money and simple graphs are just a selection from the 55 cards. Developed by an experienced primary school teacher, this game can be played individually or in groups is great fun!
Visual Perception is a vital skill for all children (and teens) to assist them with learning to read, and to read with good comprehension.
The rules are pretty straight forward. You can play solo or with as many people as you want. A player simply picks a card and studies it for 10 seconds before being asked a question from the back, chosen by the roll of a die. A correct answer means the card is kept, if not it is returned to the box. The player with most cards after 5 or 10 minutes wins! If there is a tie, it’s sudden death with both players choosing a card and having to answer all eight questions on the card. The player who answers the most correctly wins!
Made from a minimum of 70% recycled material the BrainBox range is fabulous fun and well as being environmentally friendly.
